A full 180.

This ball is created using a custom die to cut 180 triangles, which are then sewn into 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons. A standard 32 panel football is hiding in there.

The process takes about a week, from cutting and stitching the panels to inserting and gluing the ball bladder.
Note: the original video says there are 120 panels. Ignore! Embarrassing!

In good company.

This ball made it on the cover of the Ultimate Edition of EAFC 25. It was a total surprise. An agency reached out (cold email) if they could use a couple of balls to include in a shoot "involving some pro players." No other information. In July 2024, the significance of the shoot was revealed when EAFC launched the cover!

Here’s an article from The Athletic about the shoot:

“We were aiming for: if you could dream the most iconic image you could create for global football in 2024, what would it look like? And we feel we got pretty close.” - David Jackson, VP of brand for EA Sports FC
