There’s a reason most footballs don’t look like this.

It’s an impractical way to construct a ball. But practicality was never the goal.

12 pentagons and 80 hexagons carefully hand-stitched together to form The Original 92.



Individually numbered to 1000, no two are the same.Memories of each kickabout will linger on the Italian leather surface, developing a patina over time.

This was the first series to graduate from the lab and become available for purchase through 12 Pentagons.

Limited to 1000 individually numbered units, the series sold out in about 4.5 hours.

The Original 92 is the first ball that we made and truly loved.

Not a standardized machine-made product, but a hand-stitched football that’s meant to be played with for years to come.

It's traveled to the adidas HQ in Germany, the World Cup in Qatar, England, Mexico, Canada, and across the USA.

It's started impromptu conversations and kickabouts with new friends.

The 92 panel design led to many ball experiments, including the Predator Ball, the Spike Ball, and the Golf Ball.

Pictured above: Miles Myerscough-Harris of @expiredfilmclub used it on a shoot for the new Man United kit. Tommy Cissel brought it around @boweryfc. And Louis Bever did a self-portrait series inspired by Rothkos.

In good company.

The Original 92 made it on the extended cover of the Ultimate Edition of EAFC 25. It was a total surprise. An agency reached out (cold email) if they could use a couple of balls to include in a shoot "involving some pro players." No other information. In July 2024, the significance of the shoot was revealed when EAFC launched the cover!
