Five World Cup balls in one.

adidas came to us with an idea, a single ball to celebrate the history and lineage of the last five World Cups. We took the new Trionda, the ball headed to the next one, as the base, and turned its panels into windows onto the four before it: the Jabulani, the Brazuca, the Telstar, and the Al Rihla. Each is drawn into the lines of the panel shapes, fifty in all, hand stitched the way adidas first made them.

Built to scale, ball for ball.

Everything is to scale, so each panel lines up with the ball that inspired it if you hold them side by side. At first glance it can read as chaos, but once your eye learns the shapes, each World Cup reveals itself.

A tribute to the most watched object on earth.

A World Cup ball is a special thing, the pinnacle of ball design and, every four years, the most watched object on the planet. The Trionda Legacy pays tribute to the last five of them.
